The City of Prospect is in the northeastern portion of the greater Louisville area. It is situated on the county line, with part in both Jefferson County and part in Oldham County. The Brownsboro Road Area

U. S. 42 is the main traffic corridor through Prospect and joins with Brownsboro Road (U. S. 22) to continue into the city of Louisville. Along Brownsboro Road you will find established, stable housing areas with a wide range of home prices from about $150,000 to several million dollars. The area is characterized by well cared for residential streets with well-established landscaping. Several country clubs and golf courses in this location bring gracious, suburban living within minutes of downtown.
